WHO WE ARE
Wisdom's Dwelling is a place for Catholic women, women seeking faith, women who seek. It is a place where we recognize the complexity, the faith, the beauty and the questions lifted up by Women of Faith.
We honor all and respect all. We predominantly lift the voices of Catholic women, but recognizing that we are not alone in our journeys, voices of other women will join ours at times to share their stories and faith. We seek to examine the intricacies of our lives in open and honest ways. This will lead us into challenging conversations and self-examination. We seek to address the challenges of our lives and our society through the lens of faith.
We recognize and see that while we identify as Catholic, our individual experiences are varied and, at times, challenging to one another. We give voice to our truths, our stories. We create space for those whose voices are often unheard. We are women seeking Wisdom and sharing the wisdom we hold in our hearts, souls, and minds.
We seek to explore the intersection of vocation, spiritualities, race, ethnicity, and age as we name how the Spirit and Wisdom dwell within each of us and the world we inhabit.
OUR VISION
BELONGING
Each journey is unique. We value the individuality of each of God’s creation. Each unique person encounters God, humanity, and the world in different ways, through different eyes. We value and honor those differences, creating a space where all are welcome to share how God moves in their lives and their world. All are welcome and all belong.
TRUTH
We believe in Jesus Christ and identify as Catholic. Yet, we recognize that each of us experience the world, the Church, and relationship with God differently. We honor the truth of each individual's experience. We recognize that this leads to discomfort and the challenge of seeing flaws and sins in ourselves, our world, and our Church.
HOPE
Our faith holds to joyful hope, even in the darkest of times. We also know that a community of loving members brings comfort, strength, and its own hope. We walk, accompanying one another as we each continue our faith journey and living our lives as we seek to build the reign of God by bringing truth and hope to the world and helping all belong in God's reign.
