O Key of David

O Key of David,

opening the gates of God’s eternal Kingdom:

come and free the prisoners of darkness!

God, so many of us are bound by worries, health, fears, doubts. We turn to you during these last days of waiting. We ask you to unbind us. To loosen the burdens, concerns, and illness. We ask for your light, for the hope of heaven. We know that the burdens, the crosses we bear may be ours on this earth, but we turn to you in hope.

Come and bring us light. God, show us where you are present in our lives, for you are already here. Show us where you are trying to enter more deeply into our lives and grant us the grace to be vulnerable. Show us how we can share your light with others. Let us reflect and be your light for all.

  • What are the things that bind you? God is present with you in those struggles. Try to see where God is present. If you struggle to see God's presence with you, talk with God about that.

  • Where is God's light in your life? Take a moment to look and name those places. Name them.

  • How can you share God's light with others? How can you help others unlock their burdens? Ask God for the grace and humility to walk with others.
